  • We have to admit it, Vista and its brand-new "Aero", even my beloved Ubuntu + Beryl 3d compositing system are really, really late in 2007.

5 years earlier, Apple already put this technology into OS X.

    I'm definitely considering switching :)

  • R.I.P. Steve Jobs

    We will miss you dearly.

  • @iHateDlls oh no its an apple fanboy

  • this is retro hehe, quicktime 6...,

  • @compactc9 Agree with you on some parts of your comment, but macs DON'T have the same hardware as high end pcs. Maybe the server macs, and mac pros do, to some extent, but that's all. You can't really compare an iMac or a Macbook pro to an alienware pc, for example, or even to a homebuilt pc. The advantage of the macs is not on the hardware, it's on the software.

  • @gnarksombre that and it could run really fast on machines with just 128mb ram and older g3 processors!

whereas vista needs 10 times as much ram, and a much more powerful processor, yet is still slower.

i own windows machines, dos machines, mac os machines, and unix machines. i'm not biased with os's, even though i have more windows computers.

  • high resolution !!!

  • What's the Music called from this music video?

  • Oh wow, almost a DECADE AGO.

  • We have to remember that Macs now use pretty much the same hardware as a high end PC. To buy a PC with the same or very close hardware you'd be paying about the same. The other reason Apple won't release OS X to use on all hardware is that Apple isn't just a software company, they make MOST of their money on the hardware, which is why Windows will always cost more to buy than Mac OS, Apple already made money when you bought the Mac, MS doesn't sell computers, just the software for them.

  • You should take the Apple Hardware as a kind of dongle for their superior software environments.
