  • the landspout is when the air vortex is spinning towards the ground in a funnel like cloud just like it starts off

  • @Cellmate412162 Technically it's only a funnel cloud if it's not touching the ground. A landspout is a new term for weak tornadoes that don't form with severe thunderstorms or mesocyclones.

  • I noticed that most landspouts are funnels that don't touch ground, and there's that dust cloud in the ground. Was there ever a landspout that had the funnel reach the ground completely?

  • @AtarahDerek Happened to me in Orlando with Hurricane Charley. Didn't go all the way, fortunately.
