@TileGuyJesse I think because she couldn't get a label of her own. I read that somewhere. I think it was her site. And so she went sort of 'undercover' and did this song and a couple others with Conjure One. It's how I found this song.

She went by "Jane" because of the chokehold that her record company had on her.  Even though everyone knows it's her, she was able to avoid any contractual litigation for using her performing name. I want to cock punch her record company. There are years of great music that they never let her record.

Everything about this song seems to apply to my very uncertain and complicated relationship. I listen to this several times a day; the rest of the time, it plays on a loop in my head. After a week, I don't hate it yet.
