Jesus is called both κύριος and θεός in the NT both individually and in combination (John 20:28, Rev 1:8). The Yahweh of the OT is both κύριος and θεός (e.g., Septuagint Deut 6:4 et passim). It doesn't take much detective work to thus make the connection that Jesus = Yahweh. I guess these hypermonotheists could never do police work--no cases would ever be solved...
@TheGenuineChristian Yes, that is what is being said. The later versions of the Septuagint replaced YHWH for kurios. The New Testament followed this tradition. The authors of the New Testament fully understood the meaning behind kurios and what it represented. You'll ignore this, because you must. like, Mike said it so perfectly, " just how hard headed and hard hearted you are about this."
@TheGenuineChristian Mmmkay, you just completely ignored that I said that Kurios was NOT the equivalent of YHVH. I'm saying that He is called "THE Lord" means he is.
I'm gonna make one more video, not so much for your benefit, but so others can see just how hard headed and hard hearted you are about this.
Not quite...what I'm saying is this: If Jesus was a creature, I just don't see him having a title that only God Almighty has...a title that was high falootin' enough to be used as a replacement for the Tetragrammaton...a title that, translated into Hebrew, yields a phrase used ONLY of YHVH in the Old Testament.
@msm1876 Why is it -- just a BIT strange? Jesus is excluded from Deu 6:4; Mark 12:29, 32.
One God the Father who is the Lord is one. In all your arguments you never mention nor equate the Holy Spirit so for your doctrine to be constant all three persons of the trinity you have to prove all are equal in titles and names.
@JesusTheMonotheist You don't see the fact that Jesus has the EXACT SAME TITLE as his Father...one that ONLY his Father has...and is the Greek Equivalent of the Divine name...just a BIT strange?
But again...the title "Ton Kurios" belongs to God the Father. And it's the Greek LXX equivalent of the Divine Name. Take it, leave it, whatever...it's just that the first three centuries of Christians saw Jesus as very much God and Lord.
>>>Your attempts to connect kurios to Yhvh of the OT shows just how weak your theology and christiology is...
So cocky for a guy who I ripped to pieces on my last video...

@msm1876 LOL! From a Trinitarian to a JW. You're trying to win an argument with the NWT.

@msm1876 I think you've been reading the NWT too much. Here's two quick examples that show what kind of kurios Jesus is:
1) Ephesians 1:17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ.
a) Should this text read 'the God of our Yhvh'?
b) I thought Yhvh is 'God of gods' (Deut. 10:17)?
2) Revelation 19:16 And he has on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, ...LORD OF LORDS.
a) Should this text read 'Yhvh of Yhvhs'?
b) I thought there's only one Yhvh (Deut. 6:4)?

Take it, leave it...your choice.

Eh? You really that confident in that video of your's? Perhaps I will watch it and make a video response.
So let me see if I understand you correctly. When the NT text calls Jesus 'kurios' it means 'Yhvh'?
