Do you like BBQ ribs. How about spicy food? If you do, I have an easy recipe that will give you super- tender, smokey and tasty BBQ ribs on your grill or smoker. I show you how to make my spicy BBQ dry rub and then fire up the trusty Big Green Egg to make my "world famous" Spicy Baby Back Ribs. I also pick up a chili beer from Oregon's Rogue Ales to review with the ribs, their Chipotle Ale. After you watch this part be sure to check out part two http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-TXO38nOew to see how the ribs came out and how the beer matches up with them.

  • Could you please transcribe that rub, it sounds absolutely fantastic.

  • @oooloooi Go to the end of the video (around 5:50) and you will see the recipe that I used.

  • My mouth was seriously watering while watching this one. Great looking Ribs, I've been wanting to smoke some myself and think I will go with your recipe. Would it still be pretty much the same method with a grill/smoker combo if I don't have my own BGE?

  • @adramatictheme The ribs were delicious! As far as making them yourself you should be able to get similar results on just about anything. The keys are to use indirect heat, keep the temperature in the 250-275 range and make sure any wood chips you use are well-soaked to prevent quick burning.

Let me know how they come out for you!

  • i watched this while fasting...... my mouth is watering..... i will def use this recipe....love the food and beer pairings..... i was curious about the chipotle rogue sounds alot like the german smoke beers that i just can't seem to enjoy at all without the proper food pairing.....

  • @cpalmer2312 The ribs came out great and the dry rub is spicy and sweet. I've had a few smoke beers and agree that they need to be consumed with food, like chili beers.

  • i am sipping a bomber of this beer , right now ... it's a tad on the thin side ... i'd be happy if it were thicker & malty-er ... would be perfect, at that rate ... this beer would be perfect with any spicy food / cuisine ... not just Mexican ... I can see Thai pairings, Vietnamese and even curry-intensive Indian food marrying swimmingly ...

  • @dechm4af The beer is OK but not my favorite style. Some people love chili beer and this is a good one.
