@EdwardSkye1 hey fuckstick, i don't get my information from the TV. i've gotten it from veterans who have been in iraq and afghanistan. they rebuild schools, houses, and infrastructure and make way for free elections. u say i dont know veterans. i've gone to DFW airport and shaken the hands of every soldier that comes back and every soldier that leaves through there. u know nothing. so dont try to generalize my thought process when u cant tell the difference between a monkey shit and a carrot

@RovingCounter Why is being nice to people in 3rd world countries anti-American? Propping up the Afghan economy while ours suffers is anti-American. Last figures I heard, 97% of Afghan GDP is funded by our dollars. We're at best teaching them socialism by being the central planners of their economy. When we leave, like in Iraq, the people who stood with the U.S. will unfortunately be punished. It'd be like one of us standing with a foreign nation against our own, and we kill traitors too.

I swore to protect the constitution when I enlisted and that was the main reason I joined. I love my freedoms and wanted to protect them. I know most soldiers, even the liberal ones I know would risk thier lives to protect our constitution in a heartbeat, but we cannot fix every country. Ron Paul is a veteran who served honorably unlike most politicians who are pushing this , occupy every small country that poses any percieved threat. Iran does not have money or recources to nuke us.

Just because the TV tells you DON"T make it true. ALOT of people are waking up to the truth of things including soldiers. So don't sit there and act like an authority on anything.
