@hk1308 - In high school, I did a term paper about the different types of film people use to make movies, and it's true that some Super-8 films do have sound. Regular 8mm film does not (if I remember correctly).

Like you said, there are companies that do the exact opposite of what you're looking for, but you could always ask them if they can transfer the digital material to film. You can also google Telecine. That's the type of machine that digitizes film. Who knows? It may also do the reverse. I've never needed to ask, but it couldn't hurt to give it a try. Hope this helps.

this old shit sucks......the new projector is way better.

@hk1308 cool setting up the ones my parents have

Nice Bell & Howell projector, built to last. You need a projector stand so you don't have to tilt the projector so much, makes it harder to acheive all round focus.
Other than that, well done.

@hk1308 Some 8MM films have sound recording abilities. They are light based and you need a special camera.

my father had that progector but its broken : (
hi there,
does 8 mm camera recorders record sound as well, also, does projectors play sound?
i have just received a gift ( 8 mm recorder and a projector ) and i would like to know much about their abilities in sound recording

@sanmousa The camera and projector that I have don't have any sound recording capability. I think some 8mm films had a magnetic sound track but it's rare.
