huh, I thought it was gonna be faster. How old is that dell? Still a huge improvement over 7200rpm drives.

I have a OCZ Summit in m laptop I think it booted about the same (mine was a bit slower).. its 4 years old though.

Laptop is about 2 years old. Not the fastest, not the slowest.

Now that the system is not waiting on the hard drive I really notice certain apps that are written "properly" vs. those that hang the system for a sec.

Soon there will be a new X25-E with 34nm flash chips instead of 50nm. The X25-E is still the fastest, no competition out there, but it will get cheaper when it's manufactuered with 34nm chips :D
