  • I have been waiting over a year for part 2, where is it?

  • I really apolozie everyone, I have changed careers and am no longer in the music store. I do plan on doing some more videos, but it has been very difficult to find time. However, I am an insurance agent now with Farmer's Insurance, so if anyone lives in indiana and needs help with their insurance let me know. Also, my new name on here is nbcguitar so you can find me there a little easier. I will get some videos up I hope soon. Again, I apologize for the HUGE delay...

  • Can I record a live recording setup with this easily enough...micing up guitar, bass amps, drums etc. and then lay vocals over the top of that? and as far as vocals go, what is the quality like recording straight through the hd16? Does it require a high quality condenser to get crisp vocals, would I be wasting money to buy a $700 mic for a recorder like this?

  • Recording live is really cool actually. You can do it a couple of ways. If your band is completely miked through a soundboard, chances are that it is probably subgrouped. Meaning : One fader controls all the drum faders, one controls all the vocals, one controls guitars, and one controls the bass and keys. You come out of the subgroup outs on the board with regular 1/4 inch cables, and run them into individual channels on the HD16. Hit the button on top that says 8 track recording.

  • would a mxl-4000 work on the HD16 need to know have the hd16 was thinking about getting the mxl-4000?

    LET me know please

  • Again, sorry so late to respond. The large diaphragm condensers will work fine with the HD16, just push in the little 48v button for phantom power and you are good to go.

  • easiest and best machine for the money if you know what you're doing. I did a polished song on this thing and told my friends it was done at a pro studio and they believed it.
