Another note: O^2 wiring harness requires modification, and whomever buys this may also have a problem connecting their OEM O^2 sensor at the post catalytic section because the wire won't reach it anymore. This requires you to either have the appropriate wire extension which after a sleepless morning--maybe I suck at installs and don't have the proper tools--you tend to go into cut and solder mode so you can drive during the day. Though the other sensor ended up throwing the OBDII code P0056.
The headers ran badly though I haven't yet cleared out the O2 fouling to know if that was the cause or not. I'm actually unsure if complete ECM and PCM clear and relearn is even an option to improve. Carbon monoxide is increased so you get that nasty old exhaust smell that normally comes from burnt out diesel engines, and if the vacuum on the engine isn't fully concealed you get that in your air cabin. Performance most likely decreased with the A/F ratio. Install was worse day of my life.
@CatoptricCistula I just installed these and now plan on taking them off. CEL does throw and I've still getting around to making a decent enough 1/2 drill bit hole that will allow the O2 sensor to be bypassed; though at the same time see how much more preferable the stock headers actually are. My recommendation is to avoid headers at all cost and maybe only partially consider an exhaust change. I planned to install Solo Mach X-LLT though after seeing the sound dampening from stock, I prefer.
you should upload a video of the car after the parts are installed. I have the slp loud mouth exauhst on my camaro. Im just curious to how it'll sound with bbk's long tubes.
