"I think these centralized educational institutions [both university and k-12] are dead and it's a good riddance because they've demonstrated once again what socialism is, funded with stolen money and they've severely damaged the mental capacity of several generations of American youth."

  • @whoo689 necessary government services what a load of pure bull. How about a constructed legislated robbery against the people, of the government for the government by the government . There was no income tax before 1913 and there still were communities paying for and educating children without federal or state help. Industrialized education is a weak, sick, lowly productive mass rip off.

  • Regional school systems are dinosaurs they fail children emotionally, intellectually, and totally at the moral end. Public schools have become destructive zones where frustrated educated morons have authority over children who they relish in abusing.

  • I don't see the controversy. Public schools are abusive. Just search in news.google for "school abuse" or "school neglect", or just "public school", and you'll find nothing but negative stories about students being in danger. Art is right! Vote out DeFraudzio and his risky, big government schemes.

  • @whoo689 then the money isn't "stolen", now is it?

  • @whoo689 And to say crap like "stolen money" shows a severe ignorance of what politics actually is. The simplest definition is that politics is "who gets what." It's a balancing act. Not everyone wins all the time with politics, and that's just a fact of life. Life ain't fair. Deal with it. Your guys won't always win, and you won't always get victories. But don't cry and bitch about the money they're spending on basic services like schools being "stolen." When YOU are spending it...

  • @whoo689 Conservatives and libertarians LOVE to act like the government is some faraway enclave of dictatorial unelected bureaucrats who were placed in power by the Soviet Union or some shit, and they can do NOTHING about it. The truth is, WE are the government. We can elect them or throw them out.

  • @whoo689 And how is it "stolen" when WE THE PEOPLE do, at least to some extent, get a say in how it's spent, esp. at the local level? If we don't like how the officials are spending it, we can throw them out. You can vote on local and state ballot initiatives to spend the money in different ways. There are lots of choices. It's only as "stolen" as you the people have allowed it to be.

  • @whoo689 If you don't like the property taxes, go somewhere else with lower property taxes, or build your own house someone far away from civilization so you don't have to pay tax on it. Don't bitch about having to pay a small fee for services like police, fire protection, etc.

  • @whoo689 And what's this "stolen money" bullshit? Look, taxes are a small price to pay for NECESSARY GOVERNMENT SERVICES! Stop bitching and just pay them. Besides, American taxes are SOME OF THE LOWEST in the world! Unless you live in New York City or some shit like that, I can assure you, your taxes aren't that high. I'm sure you remember the days when we had tax rates as high as 70 or 90%, Art? Now it's only about 1/3rd of that.

  • @whoo689 Very few revolutions in history have led to democratic governments, at least at first try. The French Revolution led to a fairly totalitarian government led first by Robespierre. Then they had Napoleon. The French republic came about many decades after that. The American revolution is not so much a revolution as simply a military victory against an invading army to fully secure our preset democratic sovereignty.
