The Getaway 3 PS3 Tech Demo

A technical demo featuring Piccadilly Circus was demonstrated in May 2005 at E3, but this was not directly from the game. It was confirmed that the game would again be set in London but rumours had been circulating that the game could also feature Amsterdam, which was later confirmed by a video shown at the E3 convention in 2006. One other unconfirmed city was Birmingham.

Information regarding The Getaway was released on 7 March, 2008 by screenplay writer Katie Ellwood, who affirmed the action title was still in the works. No estimated release date was given, however, Ellwood did say that Sony executives were making deals with film companies about the possibility of a future film adaptation of The Getaway 3.

On 4 June 2008 The Getaway 3 was reported to have been cancelled, however in October 2009, The Getaway 3, along with Eight Days, were reported as being "on hold".

i think its a CG and at that time they thought they can pull graphics like that from ps3. but when they found out thay cant they canceled the game. thats what i think. i sure want to play it.

remember back then the getaway and the getaway 2 black monday on the ps2 used to have realistic graphics and now with the ps3 power?

especially these days?.......

@DaMonsta17 Yup,just look on Youtube,all the evidence is rite there to see!

Look at British TV shows in genral,many American TV shows are copies of British shows, the 'original' British versions are shown worldwide and have great sucess.America then remakes their own US version (sometimes even copies the UK version exactly,like SKINS & Shameless). The rest of the world is happy with the original UK versions and always say that the American copy is not as funny and dumbed down.Hear it a lot!

This game was literally one of the reasons why I bought a PS3 years ago. And still, this game isn't out. Also still waiting on a new Syphon Filter.
