The youngest solver of the Rubik's cube ever John Ismael Ugelstad son of blind folder Geir Ugelstad

The 28'Th of December 2004 John Ismael Ugelstad became the youngest person (in the world) ever to solve the Rubik's Cube (His teacher was Geir Ugelstad and he is a specialist in speed blind folding Rubik's Cube and a singer in X Factor. If you search on youtube, with the name Geir Ugelstad, you will find videos of him too. John Ismael's mother is from Ghana in West Africa and has the maiden name Ajara Salifu).

John Ismael used 9 weeks (In total about 50 hours training) to learn the Rubik's Cube and he started when he filled 5 years.

John Ismael was born in Switzerland Zurich the 2'nd September 1999 I.e. at the time of this event he was 5 years and 3 months.

The record holder before him was a 7 years girl from Poland wish solved the Rubik's Cube on the second world championship for the Rubik's Cube.

Today the record holder is a girl (again) from China.

John Ismael was solving the Rubik's Cube in 72 seconds when he was 5 years. Even more impressive was that he could use almost all the methods of Jiri's system when he was still 5 years. Only 2 Norwegians knew more methods at the time.

A Norwegian news paper supervised this event and all the rules from World Cube Association WCA was followed and this record was recognized by them. John Ismael also participated in a official WCA competition in Gütersloh Germany the 23'th of April 2005 and he was very steady around 1 minutes and 42 seconds.
