Just listen to how Ghulam Ali Sahib says "Aashiqui". His "qaaf" is perfect! I wish ppl who sang in Urdu also tried to do Urdu justice. It´s not impossible and once you learn proper Urdu, you won´t be able to bear any other way of pronouncing it. That´s why it´s unbearable to listen to "singers" like Himesh Reshammiya. His "qaaf" and "khe" are unbearable! He tortures the songs!

What a masterpiece! Subhan´Allah! I wish the singers of today knew that being able to sing isn´t only about mastering the raags/taals. For greats like Mallika-e-tarannum jee, Rafi sahab and Lata jee....even the right pronounciation and the feeling (when and how to say the words) was part of their singing education.
