@Mfury001 also keep old air box and parts and just swap it back if your going in for warranty work!

because its so low can waterlocking of the engine occur .. or does k&n filters have a film of oil to prevent this?
-
i found it also when i installed mine to just completly move the battery out of the way
-
@SuperTitans74 depends if its a lease or not, if it was a lease they would tell you it will becasuse your messing with the engine, and thats how mine is. i did it anyways because i realized how easy it was as compared to a turbo set up

what is the k&n filter part number ?
can you give as the part number for that k&n filter plz

I would suggest also keeping all the factory parts, so that you can replace them for the smog test, as well as for regularly scheduled maintainance.

There is a law that the ONLY way a dealer can void your warranty, is if they can prove that the modification is the cause of the vehicle malfunction. It doesn't matter who installs it (however its better to have someone who knows what they are doing).
You must make sure that when it is installed, that everything is done correctly, otherwise if the vehicle breaks in any way as a result of your poor instalation, the dealership will deny your warranty claim.

@Mfury001 thank you very much.
You can either get a anti waterlock device put on this (would have to cut the tube) which will guarntee no water locking or get a pre filter that TK sell to reduce the chance. It will waterlock the way I have it if you submerge the car in water that goes over the front fog lamps. I suggest if you are going to go skinny dipping with the car to get a snorkel. I have driven through large puddles at full speed without issue but haven't put my car in water past the door seals.

but dont you guys think that this CAI filter is too small ? !!

@Aqrab1 For a 4 cylinder non-turbo it is fine since it has much more airflow than the factory filter. If this car had a performance 8, 10,12 cylinder or turbocharged engine then a bigger filter would be recommended. You can fit a larger filter on this tube if you want but it will be a very tight fit behind the front bumper where there isn't a whole lot of space in the first place.

by putting a intake on the the car does that screw up the warranty for the car???

@SuperTitans74 You will have to ask that to your dealership were you get it serviced. Most dealerships don't void the engine warranty but there are some that may so you will have to ask a few places if you have a few around you. Not all will void that part of the warranty. Also depends on who installs it. Sometimes the dealership will insist that they install it to make sure it has been put on right.

I have no idea if this would fit the Optima. Better to contact turbokits and ask since your front end should be slightly different design and that tube may not fit down the front bumper area. That small tube is the engine breather tube. Gases in the engine pass through that tube to be burnt off to reduce emissions. The MAP(Forte's don't have a MAF) sensor for the Forte is in the throttle body so there is no need to relocate it.
