Allen how's the off season been so far?

AI: It's been great, man. Spent a lot of time with wife and kids, my family and friends. You know, just workin out everyday, trying to get my game better.

H: Now is there any specific activity you'd like to do in the off season to get your mind off basketball

AI: No. I mean, off season I just play pick-up, and plus I get a lot more time with my family and friends, and you know that takes my mind off, just being around my wife and kid.

H: Now the nuggets have made the playoffs the last 2 years but been bounced out of the first round for both seasons. What do you guys need to do to get over that hump?

AI: Something (laugh). Uh. We gotta.. I think we gotta realize that every posession is important. and taking no possessions off. We gotta get better defensively. And our chemistry has to get better Offensively. I think we gotta shot at winning the championship; everybody come out play everygame like it's our last, then we definitely have a shot at it.

H: Now your teammate Camelo Anthony was in the news recently as trade rumors were swirling. You went through that whole process. How was melo dealing w/ it.

AI: I mean, he's dealing w/ it, Obviously it's a frustrating thing, especially when you are the face of the franchaise. And you going out night in and night out give everything you've got. And then comes summer time, people talk about giving you away. I just let him know that dont worry about it. Talk to your mother, Be around with people that care about you, and just deal with it. It's a bussiness. It's gonna happen, you gonna hear about it. The toughtest thing for me is my family had to deal with it. I was cool with it after a while 'cause I got used to it. But it was tought when my family and my daughter, my son thinking they were gonna leave their classmates and school. So it was tough in that sense, that's something you have to deal with.

H: What was Melo's response when you talked to him about this, for this kind of advice.

AI: It was just frustrating to him, just to hear his name involved in a trade. Like I said, he come out and play hard night in and night out, and then you get to the summer time you hear your name in a trade. It was just rough. But I mean Melo's a strong guy, he'll be able to get through it.

H: You have never been afraid of contact, and injuries can really take a toll. YOu turn 33, that's hard to believe, you turn 33 next month.

I: Am I that old? (laugh)

H: (laugh) That's what the number says. How does the body feel right now for you.

AI: I am cool, I lift a little bit more than I used to. Matter of fact I never lifted in the summer, I've been working with a swim coach, trynna just to get strong. I am not trying to get any bigger, just to get a little stronger. I mean, I'm a football player, so contact is nothing to me, that's what the game is about.

H: Is it harder for you though, day in day out for each game as you get a lilttle older to come back on the court. 'Cause these injuries obviously take a toll, and if we take a look at all your injuries it's like game operation there're so many things for the years.
但对你来说，现在更老了，是否更难恢复？因为伤病确实会有代价，如果我们看看你这些年的伤病记录，真好像在玩手术游戏一样多。

AI: LIsten man, one thing I'm gonna say about myself is I'm very blessed. God bless me with the ability to play basketball, but also be able to deal with it. You know, longeivity. I get beat up night in and night out, and I get knocked down I just get back up, we play basketball again I'm ready to go, injury or not. I feel just like when I felt when I just got into the league.
