my auntie escaped from a "home" for children, leaving her siblings (one was my grandma) behind. when she turned 18 she came and got them. they were all abused and molested. it shaped their lives forever. the boys turned to alcoholism and the girls weren't able to maintain a marriage. i have very mixed feelings for thankgsgiving and NEVER celebrate colombus day.
