Completion Ceremony for Parc Lumiere @ Simei on 2 April 2011

Minister for National Development, Mr Mah Bow Tan, officiated the Completion Ceremony for Parc Lumiere @ Simei, the first 'Design, Build, Sell Scheme' precinct in the Simei estate on 2 April 2011.

Residents of the last block of completion (Apt Blk 168D) were brimming with excitement as Guest-of-Honour, Minister Mah Bow Tan, presented them with the keys to their new homes following the formal launch of the completed precinct. During the event that was jointly organised by HDB and the Changi Simei Citizens' Consultative Committee, residents of the precinct were treated to an array of captivating performances and interesting exhibitions put up by HDB, Changi Simei grassroots organisations, and other participating agencies.

The Completion Ceremony was a great meet-and-greet opportunity for residents to become better aquainted with their Adviser, Ms Jessica Tan, and Grassroots Leaders while forging bonds with their new neighbours. It also enabled them to learn more about the facilities and amenities available within their new estate by participating in a Town Familiarisation Bus Tour around the Simei and Tampines estates with their friends and family. Another key highlight of the event was a dinner reception held on the scenic e-deck where festivities were enhanced by cheery balloon decorations, upbeat performances by a 3-piece band, a roving magician, and freshly-popped popcorn giveaways.

On the whole, the event has marked a great start in the journey towards building a closely knit community at Parc Lumiere!
