  • hello sir would it be possible to use the trapizium rule to find the distance under the parabolic path of theprojectile.

  • @hetroman Not sure exactly what distance you want to calculate.

    If you want to estimate the distance a projectile will travel you must first work out how long the object will stay in the air.

    If you know the release velocity you can resolve this using trigonometry into the vertical and horizontal planes. Use v = u + at rearrange for t (a = -9.81), once you have time just use s=d/t for the horizontal distance (horizontal velocity will stay constant ignoring air resistance).
