Baseball player gets ran over

Fullerton baseball team (me). 2006. vs. Chaffey college if I remember correctly. I was having my buddy film me from the home dugout when I hit a weak groundball to the shortstop. The throw took the 1st baseman directly in front of me & my reaction was to just lower my shoulder and wear it. He fell back down immidiately after the video stopped. The trainer said he got a concussion of some sort. Hope he was ok. BTW, we won that game in the bottom of the 9th after I led off w/ a single and a stolen base. LEGIT!

Gee Josie, maybe it's because every baseball coach will you tell you to put your head down and run out weak grounders. You obviously never played baseball before, at least in any level of importance.

The rationality behind it was to not get myself hurt. My head was down running to first trying to hustle it out. You never give up on a play. After seeing the 1st basemen directly in my path, running my full speed, I reacted and put my shoulder down. An after thought was that maybe the ball, if he caught it, might get dislodged during this collision.

I mean, why take a shower when you're going to get dirty again anyway-

Why make your bed when you'll just mess it up again...xD
