And Lucka, just so you know;
An absolute minimum tank size for 1 Oscar is 75 gallons. What size is your tank, a 30 gal long? (I have a tank that looks identical to that).. If your trying to raise a monster fish in a baby tank it won't live more than a few years due to the stress of being confined to such a small tank. Good Luck! :)

My Tiger O' is 7 mo old and 8" long, and 4 times as thick as your 3 yr old.
I'd put him on Hikari chchlid Gold (or Cichlid staple), and lay off the feeder fish and live foods (maybe once a month as a treat).
Oscars also love frozen (thawed) Bloodworms, Beef heart, and Brine shrimp. If you want your Oscar to live a long, healthy, happy life, I'd stick with using Hikari pellet food as a staple diet.
