You are right, but the Scott Walker covers and lyrics of Brel's songs was very far and very shin compared to the strenght and the provocation of Brel lyrics and on stage performances. Scott walker didn't took the risk of honnest translations and transformed Brel - to the English world - as politically correct as possible, and certainly not a provocator song composer. Brel's songs are mostly a provocation for the listener - Scott turned it all to variety.
