Alagna With Gakkories, AWG 2011

A rather dull movie from our long weekend in Alagna, January 2011.
Not much snow. No powder. Little off-piste..
The only good "fuoripista" was the bowl down from Refugio Guglielmina to Pianolunga. We did not try Balma after the guides told us "no good". Canale Aguila (Eagle coloir) was hard and bumpy. Most of the snow was full of tracks and then frozen to concrete-like ice. Good food and drinks, though. Great afterski on Cafe della guide and the winebar.
The second part of this clip is trying to express the mood in Alagna and Casa Smitt. It's a friendly little village.
And of course, I was happy to pick up my "brand new" (unused, from a local outlet) Tua Cross Ride 110s, probably the best skis available for these conditions :)
