This is a video to show my Kawasaki ZX10 B1 1988 model. It has a slight bit of damage to the left had panel.
It also has a 4 into 1 full Remus exhaust system

  • Are these bikes aggressive? I've found a 1988 model here in the Netherlands. I want to buy it, it will be my first bike. Bad idea right? :P

  • No, these are pretty tame bikes actually and the power is easily handled. The power band starts to kick in about 6 1/2k - 7K RPM and anything below that is all torque. I will however say these things are tanks! They're a very big bike and also very heavy. If you weight 15 stone and are built like a brick shithouse then you can swing this around no problem. If your skinny and weedy, don't, cause it will crush you if it falls over. I had this as my first full power bike after having a DR350.

  • Hey thanks for replying! No I'm pretty tall and heavy... I'm 6'4" tall and wheigh about 87 kg or 192 lbs hahah! Would that be ok? I am an office prick though! :P

  • Bah, I'm shorter and heavier than you and I struggled with it! haha! But well worth it though.

buy it cuz their awesome bikes. BUT, get a smaller bike to learn how to ride. Their heavy bikes, and your going to get scared leaning them into turns, and they are powerful fast bikes too.

  • my temp and fuel gauge dont work. I replaced gauges but still the same. im guessing it's the sensor. took all the gas out of my tank to make sure my float is working. seems ok. now gotta try something else.

  • how can u tell if your carbs are restricted. these bikes have 139 hp. If you change the front and back sprockets so you have more pickup it makes it seem like u have more hp. Plus who needs to go 160mph. the sprockets will cut it down to about 130mph. but pickup will be amazing. it will feel like its faster.

  • i got clymer too. good manuals. chuck-there are a lot of zx10 parts on ebay right now a couple of whole bikes being broken. 88 and 89.

  • Hah yeah... I bought a clymer manual as I dont think haynes does a manual for these... Unfortuantely, I paid a bit more than a quid fifty!

  • there's a cd manual on ebay all the time listed for about £1.50 with all the pics and parts lists. hope this helps.
