This is Joe Harnell in pre-"Fly Me To The Moon" days.
The album was produced in 1961 and my copy was released under the "Kapp Medallion" label - the only one I've seen; all the others I've come across are simply labelled "Medallion".
This album has no relationship to the 1951 movie, other than being a "sound picture" of a "city under a city".
Reproduction is superb.
There is not a blemish on the vinyl and it is difficult to believe that this is 50 years old this year.
Enjoy the wonderful sounds of Joe Harnell's orchestra and his arrangements of classic tunes.
This Kapp Medallion LP #MS 7518 was preceded by #MS 7517 that is entitled "The Naked City" by the Paul Phillips Orchestra arranged and conducted by Joe Harnell. I am willing to bet that both these LPs were recorded at the same time and simply packaged as two different LPS. Quite interesting, I think.

@13MikeArm
Maybe you're right...it's certainly feasible.
I also have all tracks that second album here on You Tube, if you haven't already found them.
Search under either the album name or Phillips.
