Nick Stiles won his No-Gi Grappling Division at the Sunshine State BJJ Open on October 2, 2010. In the No-Gi finals match he once again has to go up against his training partner from Relson Gracie Fernandina. Both competitors scramble hard for position at the start of the match, but as soon as Nick is able to pull guard he locks in a tight Ezekiel Choke, which he also uses to get the sweep, and it is only a matter of time before his opponent has to tap (and that kid does NOT like to tap - he is VERY tough!) Nick is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu student at Relson Gracie Jacksonville and a Judo student at Judo Ryu Jax.

  • Neck (head) injury is one of the boys?

  • @jrfn19900907 Just a temporary injury - he was fine to compete again a little while later.

  • Is this hold painfull? A normal rnc is not painfull if done correct, you only get tipsy - so how is this thing different?

  • @chri77777777 Most of the pressure is applied to cut off the blood flow, but depending on the placement of the arms some pressure can also be generated to the back of the neck - some organizations ban this hold as a "neck crank" - others allow it. Nick's opponent also resisted a long time (he is known for refusing to tap to almost anything), but he was fine a few minutes after the match.

  • Great job!!always use nicks videos to show my son..great come back..

  • Your son is a beast.

  • Nick sure had his work cut out to win this match - what an incredibly tough opponent. But he pulled it off in the end with an exceptional grappling move. Well done to both boys on such a good fight

  • @sidstiles are there any other Ezekiel Videos? I find this thing amazing - why is it used so seldom? Seems to be very easy and effective

  • A painful finish but his opponent had the opportunity to tap earlier. Congrats Nick

  • i would say...no way out...lol
