For the Meet Calina stage, I could have sworn there was a way to find Calina later in the stage. I think I also remember finding a way to get a bomb and to open that "jail cell" with the crazy guy with a gun.

I don't know, I could be wrong. I think I remember doing that stuff when I was a kid.

Funny that you should mention that, because I thought there was a way to get a bomb to bomb the orange blocks in the center of the holpital for a gold gem. I don't know about finding calina though.

I can see the resemblence, al least with the movement in this game.

This game kind of reminds me of Mega Man, If it was for the 64.
