@avesraggiana i agree with you. i've had SAB girls come take classes at my studio and their arms are TERRIBLE. i get so angry, why don't they correct them!? nothing like the video here.

@cocobabyballerina The usually start the school at 10 or 11. Since the levels are for each year, these girls are 15 or 16.

I don't see the floppy arms you're talking about. If anything, their arms and head are very definitely placed. Even SAB students at the same grade couldn't place their arms as consistently as these students do, and SAB is the best ballet school in the States. You want to see floppy arms and wrists? watch a class at SAB. Balanchine technique emphasized many things but careful placement of the arms and the use of the upper body and head were not among them.

uhm yeah its a lot of hard work. you try doing it. my teacher says you are supposed to be sweating if you are doing everything right
