"Let My People Go!" ~ Music & Rap at SOA Convergence, Ft. Benning, GA, 11.21.2009

Every November at the Ft. Benning military base in the town of Columbus, GA, thousands of people converge for a protest to shut down the "School of the Assassins," an infamous U.S. training center that has instructed countless Latin American soldiers to commit torture, repress democracy, and violate human rights. In 2009 on Saturday, November 21st, a group of musicians performed a modern, hip-hop version of the traditional American Negro spiritual song for liberation, "Go Down Moses." It is time for the United states Congress very seriously look into this matter. they can't talk terrorism from one side of the mouth and ignore this issue no longer...the national press can no longer ignore this issue...the can't keep covering up one side of terrorism and talk about another terrorism and say we don't train terrorists..we can't keep living in a lie..the truth must prevail.
