Also, anybody know where to get hold of the soundtrack to "Heartbeat", the film about Carolyn and Nick Cassidy and Kerouak which used Art's playing throughout? I remember being mildly enthused about the film- Nick Nolte as Cassidy was great, John Heard as Kerouak wasn't, but I was captivated by Art's music. Thanks.

Thank you, Laurie. Art was, IS, one of the most important players in Jazz. He gets glossed over by too many people who are focusing on Bird, but as you guys say in "Straight Life", he has it all: tone, soul, technique, ideas.

It's reprehensible that our govt. chose to treat addiction as a criminal choice. Re: the movie, I hope you get funding- the story is an amazing one, and with Art's music as the soundtrack-WOW! I guess authenticity still scares ém off.
