Rain delay at Yankee Stadium on 7/23/2010, as recorded from the Batter's Eye concession stands in center field. The forecast called for a 40% change of showers or thunderstorms. By the 4th inning, there was a tornado warning for the five boroughs of NY, with dopler radar showing circles of yellow, orange, red, and BLACK. The rain came down as if someone turned on a light switch...and ended just as abruptly 20 minutes later...oh, but what a ride in between. The bottom two rows of all the seating sections were under water. Water was flowing UP from the drain like water fountains, flooding covered areas. Thunder, lightening, 50 MPH gusts of winds. At times, you could not see across the stadium. Mr. Toad would not have been disappointed!
