Van Morrison has alway had stage fright. That's why he never tours.
-
It's obvious he's not having fun. He's stuck in his own head. He doesn't realize he's there to entertain a crowd, not to be stiff and self-conscious and grim. Compare when John Davidson sang "Taste of Honey" back then.

The hairdo, wow. Teased back. I bet he would hate to see himself on this track. That was cool back then tho. Great song. He had to change it from brownskinned girl, to browneyed girl.

Lipsyncing on AB, happened all the time. Maybe Mr. Clark wanted it that way, who knows? At least they were "making love in the green grass behind the stadium" and not "skippin' and a runnin'" - great tune!

@elviscash56 People were saying the same thing about 60s, 70s and 80s music. "Look at these hippies and their rock and roll! What has this world come to?? Ahh, the good old 40s and 50s, now that was the music to live by!"
Don't worry..in 30 years, people will be praising today's bands and talking about how they wished they were born in our generation..

One of the greatest songwriters of the last 50 years and you want to criticize his lip-synch ability? Do you blame him for being uncomfortable with this kind of canned presentation?
-
where is the gun pointed at him?

Got news for ya....It still is!
-
hey that was when money and lip sync slept together
-
truly creepy sync singing. especially the cut away at 2:27.
You know what's wrong with today's music? All the artists are good looking but they have no talent. You know how it was back then? Quite a few of them were downright ugly, but it didn't matter because they had TALENT TALENT TALENT. Man, I wish I wasn't 19, my generation got fucked big time!

Worst case of lip synching I've ever seen. Yes, it was very common in the 60s to lip synch on TV.
