This is the official music video for Skilf's most recent single 'Slow Me Down'. Many thanks to everyone who helped out with the production! Skilf is a UK rapper, who has received much critical acclaim from Hip Hop Connection, RWD Magazine, DJ Mag and many more.

This video was filmed at various locations around Brighton and exhibits some of the finest graffiti from local Heavy Artillery Crew. The track was produced by Toni Toolz who was responsible for the official remixes of 'Trick Me' by Kelis, 'She Wants to Move' by N.E.R.D and 'Slipping Away' by Moby. This track features the Californian singer Michelle Ericsson, who sadly could not take part in the video and is played by Sam Mew. The lyrics refer to people and influences that slow you down throughout every day life, which is reflected through the different characters and situations in the video. Listed below are the lyrics:

Verse 1:

I'm a man of optimism with accurate composition attacking the opposition and mangling competition with my wise words, embarrassing politicians I actually drop it different you rappers should stop and listen cos you might learn Instead of acting all rude why dont you channel that aggression into passionate tunes, you think that being flashy in your fasionable shoes having a bad attitude and acting masculine proves that youre an mc? I doubt youll even earn 10p, unfold your arms try to be a bit more friendly. Im in my 20s and my styles elementary, evidently Im destined for Wembly! Its taken ages but Im learning to be motivated, youre gonna make it! is a phrase that people overstated, I know the basics but my egos so deflated cos the industries an ever growing surface and Ive only scraped it. Time to get out of bed, whats the point of lying in because Ill rest when Im dead, a wasted opportunity will end in regrets reduce your level of stress then youll excel in the test, yes! Thats the recipe, pack it full of energy, catchy little melodies and dash of Hennessey then ignite it, Im trying to reach the height of a pilot, its a fiery climate but Ive decided to fight it. "quiet please" Im a workaholic, and everybody thought I was a nerd in college. My words are honest Im reserved and modest, thats why my musics spreading like a burning foest.

I used to be a crazy kid, working hard from 8 to 6, all the grafting made me sick I knew it had to change a but, took a chance placed a big, learnt the art played at gigs, made my mark like Jadakiss and knew I wouldnt fail at this. It was hard but I stayed focussed, gave my brain a makeover kept on driving like a range rover, remained sober never played poker locked myself inside a room for days going insane like Beethoven, all the nit wits were quick to dismiss oi this brere aint even big, whys he acting like a sick kid you think pr*cks didnt alter my logistics, look whos laughing now better pucker up and kiss this! This video was pretty good, watched it back to back which is saying something. Video was funny, creative and well edited. Liked your lyrics a lot, original, well thought out and straying from the norms of uk hip hop. Piece of constructive criticism, there was really no need to have the girl in the video, didn't fit the theme and didn't really add anything.
