Mac McCalla, the "Master of Weathering" with 40 years experience, explains in his straight to the point down-to-earth manner how to take an "out of box" model and turn it into an old grimy, dirty, weathered mess! With a few basic colors and a little ingenuity you'll learn the techniques necessary to weather your own models (and stuff) for a truly realistic look. During this video you'll gain a new appreciation for rust and filth.

  • @badblincosory about the that,I was referring to the video, he is using acrylic paints not water based .. (water cleanup does not mean "water based") , childrens and artists water colors are the only true "water-based" paints that I am aware of. I was referring to acrylic paints , sorry for the confusion on my previous reply.

  • @TheRocketSilo note how i said water based paint... if you add too much water you would cause the pigments to drop and cause "tide lines" only if your using too much paint in the first place! several thin even coats, thin layers dry much faster, its not that your wrong but ime not on about acrylic paint! please read before you rant!

  • @badblinco you have no idea , first off, water does not clean out an airbrush well at all,, secondly acrylic paints are not water based , they are acrylic polymer based and some are even solvent based , thirdly thinning acrylics with just water will cause the pigments to sink because you are diluting the acrylic suspension that hold the pigment, water is a terrible way to thin acrylics , always use the recommended thinner, it contains ingredients to help the acrylic to bind and stick properly

  • alot of tools you don't realy need i.e wisk [just shake the pot], overflow cup [anything or even just the towel!] cleaning fluid [if your using just water based paint surely using just water will clean it] also the extender [if your only using water based paint more water will thin it down] apart from that... nice job! can't wait to give this a try on some tanks!

  • What a waste of time, there's no part 4 ffs

  • nice video ,its good. question..are u wearing jeans below the desk or just boxers?i just think u should say in the description.

  • Yes, Pt. 4 doesn't seem to be there. And I'm still waiting for advice on the other models they said they'd demonstrate with. Badger game on viewers?

  • Am i wrong or does part 4 of this entertaining video appear to be missing?
