every time that dude accelarates he fast forawards the time continuem!

Can someone clarify this: So basically, that car is powered by a normal heavily modified petrol engine, has a turbo bolted onto it, and a turbine connected to the turbo to spool it. So basically, its not getting the exhuast gas from the petol engine, but from the turbine.
Is that it.

Is there another car starting in the background, or does it have two piston engines?
-
Look up Fejization on youtube
-
i remember his twin turbo rover v8 powered minor...and that was in the 70's and 80's..
-
That man is a legend, what an awesome car!
-
It would probably be more accurate to call it a supercharger, but that's just semantics. Sick car.
-
@TheCordiaMASTER Yes. I believe you can now buy electric powered turbos. Which while being a much more simple way of getting 'free' boost, doesn't sound any where near as scary/sexy!*

@TheCordiaMASTER Im guessing the turbine spins the turbo for induction purposes only and the exhaust gases head out through a conventional system.
A bit like turbo lag in WRC rally cars, without the Anti Lag system.
The turbine is constantly spooling the Turbo so no lag, maximum boost all the time.
But im just guessing...

@nickwarman1 you look like a go kart.
-
@thatdrummingmuppet your dad is ghey
-
My dad made the turbine which spins the turbo :L

Racecar have been running aero features of this car for a while. In the July 2010 copy they feature the whole car and explain a little about that turbo/turbine system, an idea which Nic doesn't actually claim to have invented. It's described as being like "taking anti-lag to the logical extreme" insofar as anti-lag systems tend to combust fuel in the exhaust upstream of the turbine, this goes further and has a separate combustion chamber (with controlled fueling) to keep the turbine up to speed.

Nicc Mann rocks
-
From what i understood the turbine provides constant prussure to the turbo that eliminates any turbo lag and prvides seemless power delivery
-
This is the machine responsible for Black holes in outer space...
-
Thanks for that, the Minor was a legend in it's day.....
-
yep
-
Is this the Nick Mann that used to run the turbo V8 Morris Minor?
-
does it run on junk?
-
that thing is rediculously fast! its the only possible explanantion!
The Heli. Gas Turbine is a cover up!
-
best comment ever :)

now im curious as to what they used for the APU and how the hell they plumbed it all in there... its as if the turbo is using the exhaust off a turbine to keep it spooled... i dont know... would like to.... but i dont know... sounds very interesting and looks like it can move!

"turbines generally have shitty acceleration and like to explode when least expected!" I don't know where U get Ur information, but Gas turbines are among the most reliable engines known. They are phenominally fast when adapted to cars. Ever heard of the Y2K bikes ? They also show a huge output relative to their weight. U that the Bell jet ranger is the greatest, most common and most reliable chopper ever ? Gas turbines are used for their power AND reliability in choppers. 120lbs 450hp

Dude! that thing fucking moves!
There is another car starting and pulling away, before Nick starts his BDA followed by the gas turbine starting.

do you have any more info on this kind of setup??

Theres not much on the web about the car, but essentially, the turbo is driven by the gas turbine instead of the conventional exhaust gas. I think race car engineering featured the car a few years ago.
