  • when i heard that a folk band made an interpretation of the raven i thought wtf?!?i mean i would be logical for a doom or gothic band...but when i listened to this version...O_O it's just magic!!!and the vocalist is really hot!! :)

  • @funk55558

O.o This is a medieval gothic band.

I think what you meant is a gothic metal band. Or am I wrong?

  • you are wrong my friend. this is a pagan folk band from the Netherlands but yeah this poem cover made them look a bit of gothic cuz the gothic literature and culture influenced alot from Edgar Allen Poe together with H.P lovecraft shakespear Lord Byron and many more old writers and poets its amazing cuz of the fact that all those great men are dead for hundreds of years and yet their art still lives on in this world and continue to impress us. this is the true meaning of being immortal :)

  • @rockpop1

Pagan folk is the music style, Gothic is the type of artist, and even if one thinks that Edgar wrote gothic literature, he did not, his writing style is known as modern terror, but certainly it has a gothic sense as we like. He is a master, and Steve Sic too. =) Jeje

And remember, black is the new green.

  • Magical, magical......

  • This has really nothing to do with the Goths and some of it has no correlation with paganism as well. Also, some of the instruments Omnia use were not around in the times the goths were pagan. Some they use weren't even from the goth/pagan continents. It's more just a mish mash of someone's uneducated interpretation of a pagan folk band. Another misconception is of the Goths being so dark. Their art was often bright, golden, and infused with gems.

  • wow im in love with the girl...amazing melody.

  • I adore Omnia and I love The Raven, I just wish he'd pronounce things correctly, it grates on my system lol.

  • bravo!!

  • im not a goth im more into reggae music but i grew in love with this poem song or whatever you want to call it

  • Lindo! =)

  • Saw them live once. The frontmans brothers voice is sick! like a whole chorus, but only one guy singing! gave me goose bumps like hell!

  • Great song, crappy sound!!

  • Roughly seven minutes in. Yes. Just gave me shivers. Love it!
