The day my father died, and I drove home, this song went around and around in my head. That was 40 years ago, and I still cry whenever I hear it. For me it was and always will be about irreplaceable loss.

what a true icon,He made many films. Some of his best performances in my opinion were This Sporting life, his first real film and The Field, My personal favourite is camelot and the song, how to handle a woman. But he was undoubtable best on the stage and his rendition of king lear was good enough to rival his hero's and latterly his contempories richard burton and lawrence olivier,. And as for Mcarthur park what the hell i love this song ,he didn't wan't to do it but it still got to no 1
