How much did you pay for that model G630ce?

I have this guitar. It sounds fabulous for finger picking or otherwise.

One other thing - I picked it specifically because it was absolutely stunning to finger-pick. Gorgeous, harmoniously balanced tone. It is not the guitar to bang cowboy chords on - not that it won't do but I found the dreadnoughts were much more suited to this task. D670 for instance sounded amazing for strumming. What I found interesting was the top was also cedar. The tone was totally different. So it's the dread body, I guess.

Nice review thanks. One thing I can add from personal experience, just got myself G630CE yesterday. Played maybe 10 different models - all were medium to high action. Definitely no low. No buzz on any guitar. But no low action either.
Otherwise I'm extremely satisfied (after comparing carefully to other Waldens).
Actually the Yamahas, Crafters, Corts, Hohners, Fenders that I tried as well didn't even stand a chance. It was Walden all the way.

@stevo0665 thanks. hope i won't have to return it. just sold my Takamine ean10c for 500 to pay for some of the guitars i made offers. didn't think i would get. didn't want to sell that Takamine. has Cedar top rosewood side & back had a split bridge and had great action and intonation. I made 3 offers that i thought was so low they wouldn't take it. 2 Bouler Creek Cedar Rosewood Guitars and that Walden and got all 3 so i have to fork out 1500 for the 3. thought maybe only 1 would accept...lol
The action on mine came reaaalllyyyy low aswell but i love mine to death XD

@maskful Yeah it's real low which is really nice strumming. One thing that I don't LOVE is if you lower it half a step or more the action is so low it gets pretty loose...but that's okay it would be the same on any other guitar with an action that low. This is my only a/e and I played at an open mic the other night and it sounded great. First time I've ever played in a bar haha so I'll never forget this ole Walden took the leap with me LOL

@rayka glad i could help. You can actually grab one of their higher end models for $500 or so. the higher end waldens are numbered in the thousands (xxxx) I think the 3030 is the cedar/rosewood all solid. I want one!

@stevo0665 I saw the 3030 on ebay taking offers. i made an offer for the G630 and got it got 300 plus 50 for shipping. i might buy one of the 3030 series sometime in the future. I need to sell some of my other Acoustics, I have no room in my tiny APT...lol but i did make an offer on that G630 based on your review.

@rayka Nice...yeah I know how that goes. If you need to return yours let me know and I'd sell you this one and beat that price. I need a d slr camera and I'm going to have to sell a guitar to get there I think.
