how does the back one block the front one from moving?

The back one only slides left and right. It does not slide forward with the bottom. So you have to slide it over to unlock the bottom and allow it to slide forward.

i want one of these so bad D: but idk where i can buy these type boxes for cheap and im not good with wood working so idk how to make one

@quintonbob I don't know where you'd buy one either, haha. I'm sure something like it exists out there somewhere but I couldn't find it so I built it. There aren't a whole lot of non-traditional puzzle boxes out there that I know of. Lots of one-offs (read expensive), but not many I know of that are mass produced. The only way to become good at wood working is to keep trying! This box took about $8-10 in wood and a couple dollars in finishing supplies. The tools were more of course.
