  • legend of the sport,

    rule 1, don't fall

    he didn't

  • He was ment to win simple as that. The best man on the day won the gold! Everyone say's he only won due to others mistakes....... Just think about that for a second. He trained for yrs, gave up and went without so much, comes from a tropical island "Australia" made it through his heats, no mistakes, semi's etc, got to the final.... stayed up right, keep his composure and win the gold medal. Only the best can say they did that! And it proves steven was the best and deserved the gold!

  • @haribolollies

the sport that no1 cared about has turned into a comedy.

he lagged behind them like Yoda on a skateboard. they died, he didnt.

moral of the story? no1 cares

  • The only part I understood was 1:18 "My name is Bradbury" MADE ME LAUGH!!!

  • Held.

  • He's just like, what the heck just happened and then he realizes he actually won.

  • a lei da tração atuando.

  • he didn't even sprint for the win...like a boss!!!

  • it doesn't matter what language it is - this is always hilarious!

  • Steven Bradbury is a legend in Australia because he typifies the quiet achiever and the little Aussie battler. Here's a modest man who sacrificed so much personally to represent his country. He stood up on the world stage and took on the best many times, as daunting as that oppostion was. He had no illusions about his ability but stayed in the race fighting till the end. Who could not admire these qualities and who could begrudge him his reward. Well done Steven and well deserved.

  • I don't think it was all luck. Bradbury assessed his own limitations (2nd oldest speed skater at the event, 4 events that night, unlikely to have a lot of gas in the tank) and assessed his opponents (all under severe pressure to win gold for assorted reasons) and felt the possibility of a pile up at the end was "on". He stayed off the pace and kept on his feet for that reason. Speed skating on a round track is as much about tactics as it is about raw effort. He deserved the win.
