Quiet Zones are retarded. Train horns save lives.

I've never been bothered by the trains, and I live about three blocks from them. But yet I was born here in Provo and have lived here for 23 years, so I'm conditioned to them and have come to find it a bit comforting. :P

Yeah, I will move to Provo Utah, I love the train noise.

All of this could be easily resolved if OCCUPY AMTRAK and OCCUPY UNION PACIFIC were supported by the public. It's really very simple: You give us a low interest loan with no real obligation to repay. Think of it as stimulus money if it makes you more comfortable. All we'll do is stop every train and stuff mud in their horns before they pass your place.

Provo still rocks! I would think the biggest issue would be the silly Amtrak schedules, blowing their horns in the middle of the night.

Those are bad ass Union Pacific horns!

I used to live right next to shunting yard.. it took me about a week to get used to the noise... If I could not hear them shunting ... I couldn't sleep! lol

I find the sound of humming rails and blowing horns to be quite comforting, especially at night. It's almost like rain to me.

Music to my ears! The area you shot this video from was nothing but farm land ten years ago. If you don't like it why did you build there?
