A very small Personal First Aid Kit in an altoids tin for every day carry (EDC). If it had a name, it would be the ATFAK, but that's just silly ;)

Contents are all St John Ambulance brand - high quality:

2x 2.5x7.2cm latex free plasters (band aids)
1x No 16 Eye Pad dressing
6x Safety pins
1x Resuscitation face shield
1x Medium Nitrile Gloves (latex free, no powder)
1x Contact info sticker
1x Basic CPR instructions sticker

All the contents are waterproof except the stickers.

Packed into a standard (50g) Altoids tin.

Weight as a FAK: approx 75g

I think most 'personal' first aid kits are either too bulky for everyday carry, or don't contain enough kit. With this kit I've tried to create something which is completely pocket-able and also contains enough to deal with moderately severe situations. The ATFAK can deal with heart attack, cuts, moderate bleeding and with the safety pins it's possible to fashion a sling for breaks by using your clothing.

It won't help with major blood loss, burns, hypothermia, poison, sucking chest wounds or a few other complex injuries, just the more common first aid scenarios.

For a house kit I recommend the St John Ambalamps Zenith 20 person kit
