@chompachangas no wait, ORANGE TEXAS: suck a donkey dick! my local props guy took off with my 2 hundred dollars and never showed up at load out.

i've totally had this conversation with a local stagehand in Arkansas.

Seems more like the moral is not to trust a drunk pothead with severe money management issues

I laughed my Ass off, great vid guys, lots of love!!! Thumbs up

@mcdstuff Yes i do. It's been called Verizon Wireless Music Center for almost 10 years now but it will always be Deer Creek to us. How did you know?
-
You tw@t. Why bother turning up at all? (Oh? You don't get paid for not turning up?)
Worse than being a man down. Idiot.
-
@trevticks I spent 5 long years on the road. No thanks.
-
@swamprat79 You can get much better paychecks on the road, not to mention per diem.

@swamprat79 What do you mean sign in and camp out in the cheap seats? You sign in and sit down?? EVERYONE should be busting their asses on the out.
Easiest way to keep a roadie or a tech off your ass is to just sign in and camp out in the cheap seats till load out is over.

@swamprat79 And that is why you are a shitty stagehand...

@sparkeyben Actually, I can outwork the best of any road crew you could possibly put topgether. I choose to sign in and post up where no one can see me because the rest of the local crew is so shitty. I've forgotten more since November of last year then you'll probably ever know, chief.

@swamprat79 As the owner of the largest event labor company in Indiana & a 16+ year touring and local veteran of the industry I doubt you have even learned as much as I have forgotten. You're the type of hand I would fire within minutes of signing in. As soon as I found out you weren't in your department working you would be done. If your steward allows you to bail on your gig and continues to call you for work the he is even worse than you.

@sparkeyben You talk about it like it's such a great career. I'll bet you're one of the pretentious types that expect people to kiss your ass because you went on tour with Aerosmith or some shit and you have "cool stories from the road". And yes, I'm confident in my ability to outwork just about anyone. The difference between me and people like you is that I'm there for a paycheck, not a popularity contest.

@swamprat79 It is my career and I make a damn good living doing it. I'm not pretentious at all. All I want is a good crew that is there to do their job not just show up and go hide & get paid. I could care less if everyone likes me or not. I have one of the most well respected local crews in the country at one of the premier amphitheaters in the country.
