I do a lot of hiking in the desert in and around Death Valley. This video was shot in the Argus Wilderness area just outside of DVNP! It features a few random donkeys and a whole lot of coyote melon. Check out my website for more information about the plants in the Death Valley area!!! http://www.blackturtle.us/DV_PLANTS

  • Never heard of coyote melons

    Sounds like they would make

    Great musical rhythm shakers

  • I'm not sure, but seems that I've heard that they were the original maracas.

  • Coyote Melon's are kewl. :)

  • I totally agree!

  • Very good song! I never heard of or saw a Coyote Melon before. That's wild that you hike and stuff in Death Valley! That's totally awesome!

  • Thanks! To be more exact most of my hikes are in Searles Valley and Panamint Valley. Parts of Panamint Valley are within DVNP boundaries.
