A tutorial showing you how to do a 180 slide on a longboard without the need for gloves. When attempting to learn this I saw no videos on youtube that satisfied my needs. I'm hoping I can help those of you out there who are trying to learn this, because it is a very fun maneuver to do. Please rate and comment!

  • waitwhat. Thats not the maestro?

  • @skittnazzz Nope! Go check out my Back Side Stand-up Slide video :) I'm riding a maestro in that one! :D

  • I have some problems with this trick. I'm riding a dervish with 86a durians. I'm nailing the (almost)90 degrees slide pretty good but I can't slide any longer then that. It's like I'm having to much weight on my front foot and don't get the rotation. But training is the only answer, right? But I still wanna ask you guys if you have any tips. I'll be happy if you answered. Peace

  • @mpttrssn Hmm.. well it sounds like you're doing the right thing by putting weight on your front foot. That's what will send you into your slide, because that's the pivot point. Taking weight off your back foot is is really important because it causes less friction, and an easier slide. Just keep moving your upper body around, and your legs should follow. But as you said, just keep practicing :)

  • is it normal that i just turn of 90 when i do this i have durians yellow 86A and i just got them one week ago so will they go bether when they will be use? answer me fast please and is it long to learn?

  • @Alexlol64 Yes, that's normal, you just need to keep pushing with your back leg, and continue your rotation with your torso. They will also be easier to slide as you continue to practice because the urethane will rub off. Thanks :)

  • why is is it long boarding tutorials has trash bins with them

  • realy good thanks man

  • Nice video, thanks!

  • would it help to have a shorter board than a longer one?

  • Great video, very helpful. Minor typo at the start though haha

  • Zonkfish has a point I learned on a pintail also and I'm glad I didn't go right to a landyschtz

  • @MrImsuperfly

Calm down there. What about pintails makes them homosexual? Pintails are pretty cool for just cruising around, and basic chill riding. For the more advanced stuff, such as freeriding and bombing hills, it is true that symmetrical boards are more favorable. But the truth is Pintails are fun. I learned on one, and it was some of the best fun I've had on any Longboard.

  • So if I'm left handed and I prefer my left foot but I skate regular how do I do it while I'm pushing with my right foot I can't seem to push hard enough
