  • After 42 years I just heard my favorite song of all time, this song. I'm done, I'm not looking anymore. It would take me a 100 years to find something like this.

  • Peter Green IMO is the best ever Blues Player .... incredibley soulfull and blending of the right notes ..and his 'out of phase' tone ..is simply delicious....amazing..tks for posting this!

  • The best blues song ever. Period. Oozes feeling, like no other. I've over 250 blues albums and have listened to most of the old blues masters and new pretenders, but NONE comes close to this soulful rendition by the best british blues guitarist of all time. I'm lucky to possess a Yamah MSG guitar signed by Peter Green. It's been re-varnished by Martin Boothe; who designed the guitar; so the signature can never be rubbed off. Priceless. What a player.

  • @ARTOONIXUSER I bought a Vintage Paradise and had the pups wired out of phase. Sounds spot on. Did the same with my Tokai LP and that sounds cool too. But to play like PG youd just have to be PG!

  • @guitarandharp Gary Moore must have copied his vocal vibrato from this tune. And youre right about the solo. Reminds me of a Danny Kirwan song Without You.

  • Further to my comment of 2 years ago:

This record is a masterpiece of passion combined with restraint and control, which is the 'secret' of Great blues. Note that there no guitar fills between the vocal lines, except for Mayall's haunting slide guitar lines. Then, when Peter Green plays his impeccable solo, his use of space and dynamics is absolute perfection.

    So great...

  • Aynsley Dunbar brush work cannot be mistaken

  • what a sound he can make, so soulful hats off mr green.

  • @nyctom21 If you want to get close to PG's sound, look for the Vintage V100mrpgm 'lemon drop' guitar. It's not all that expensive (around £270 in the UK) and has been wired up out of phase and provided with specially designed pickups which combine to let you emulate PG's classic sound. But as for playing like him - well - that's something else altogether!!!

  • @Gallagherfreak100 dont forget PAUL KOSSOFF!!

    LONG LIVE ROCK 'N' ROLL

  • @nyctom21 Right on! Peter Green & Rory Gallagher. The best ever.
