Love all the trucker music,great to read some of the comments here as well,nice to know that some people do appreciate truck drivers ,being a truck driver myself i can relate to some of the lyrics in the songs,thanks to all!!!!

my dads been a trucker for almost 40 yrs then when us kids grew up my mom drove till she got sick then i started driveing and the first time i heard this prayer i wrote it down and kept it with me on the truck so print it off write it down and give it to a trucker thanks stay safe and keep on truckin

My dad has been a trucker for the last 20 years, the song has always held

a special place in my heart. He was rarely home, and missed many special occasions, but has worked hard to provide for his family over the years. He is an amazing man, and I am so thankful for what he has given up for me, my sister, and my mom! Love this song!

I like how y'all talk. I grew up in a trucker home. Me and brother followed suit. Only thing we didn't agree on was the best rig. Pop likes IH's, I like Freightshakers, and little brother likes those K-Whoppers. But it made for good "man" conversation. Some boys share sports with their pop, we shared road stories.

My father also drove the class 8 trucks. He hauled mostly petroleum.. Had million plus miles safety award.Got to ride with him when I was young. At 14 he told me to get behind the wheel and see if i really wanted to drive trucks. My arm was sore from all the shifting from hill to hill. But I still wanted to be like dad. After 40+ years dad retired early to travel the country. Unfortunately he lost his vision. And his dreams with it, as mom can't drive a motor-home. He has now lost his spirit.
