Pulled this 700 pounds while standing on a 2 inch block. Just a belt.

  • Awesome lift mate.

I thought I was doing alright at 17 yrs old approaching 400lbs until I saw this :-)

Great flexibility i noticed, do you have any tips for this aside from daily static stretching?

  • Thank you!!!! I actaully do more of a dynamic warmup as compared to stratic stretching. i do more jump squats ala Dr. Hatfiled, or explosive warmups w/ just 135.

  • Thanks for that reply, I'll look into what you mentioned

I watched this again incredibl strength mate, its really quick off the floor, espcially considering the plates.

What is your max without the deficit?

  • Thanks!!!!! My current max in a 3 lift meet is 738. Trying to get over the hump there too!!! Gotta stay healthy!!!

  • That is too cool! Tell WIll I said Hello!!!

  • yeah. i actually just uploaded an incline barbell video from one of my final bulk days. and a video of a lifting partner of mine doing weighted dips. i think my old lifting buddy will reinsfelder worked out with you a little, right?

  • That's great...Do I understand that you train at Model A in Delta, PA?

  • thanks for the response! i wasnt sure about hitching, just noticed in most competition videos (yours too) i never saw much of the twitch-like shaking. amazing lift- i showed my dad and a few heavy lifters from the gym (model a) and everyone was impressed.

next bulk (fall) i am going to try and hit my powerlifts more. right now i am 6'2" 235 with 390 bench, 455 squat (i know, long legs!) and 495 deadlift-- all raw. looking to throw real weight in fall! maybe i'll swing by your gym for some tips?

  • Thanks. The shaking is not hitching. Hitching is when you purposely try to walk it up the legs and drive it up or jumping it up the legs. I was just shaking like a little leaf here. Hector and Edgewood were monsters!!!!!

  • dang, i just watched it! wish there was a video of your 810 squat! love the celebrations. i'd imagine your dead now is still up there considering the plate elevation, right? just a question about competitions, would this be a legal lift with the "hitching" or not? i don't know much. dad used to powerlift back with sam fielder and george hector in edgewood, but i don't know too much about clean and failed lifts.
