Every year, the Texas Dog Hunters Association hosts the Hunt for the Hungry, a hog dog competition benefiting Hunters' Harvest. In 2009, they brought in over 28,000 pounds of pork to feed needy Texans, making it the largest charity hunt in the United States. It is also the richest hog dog contest in Texas, awarding four bonuses and over $3,000 in cash and prizes to the champion team.
