@SuperJenkins37 That is Paula Radcliffe during the 2004 Olympic Games. She is the WR holder in the marathon. She would come back and win the NYC marathon soon after the brutal Athens race.

Yes, I agree & I can't be more appreciative of watching the 'duel in the sun' & say I was in that same race!!!!

Salazar & Beardsley were the greatest runners on this earth that day!!! Hmm, wouldn't it have been cool to have been able to have been up there with them...instead of 1/2 - 3/4 hr. behind them? :)

I can't describe the fire this song lights in me. I can't describe how inspirational this video is, as a runner, an athlete, a person. I can only watch, adore... and smirk with a "Fuck yeah."

I think at this point I account for about half the views of this video. It captures the emotion of distance running wonderfully: joy and pride, sadness and disappointment, but most importantly perseverance.
